In the summer of 2001 one of the hottest acts around the Louisville / Southern Indiana region was THE STUMPS ~America's Premier 3-Leged Acoustic Duo~. The Stumps were Rachel Stump and David Ernspiker. One night, when Rachel couldn't make it to a gig, David asked Jaymz St. James to do the show with him. They had a great time and decided to continue playing together whenever The Stumps weren't working. After a few shows, Dave and Jaymz, asked drummer Jerry McBroom to come out for a three piece jam. No rehearsals, no songlist just three musicians and a good sense of humor. Little did the crowd at Dutch's Tavern know but they were about to experience the Return of ROCK N ROLL to Louisville.
The night started with Jimi Hendrix & Stevie Ray Vaughan tunes and several blues jams. Then the trio launched into some Van Halen. The crowd went crazy. The guys the band were laughing and having a fun time so they cracked open the Classic Rock vault and cranked out tunes by Ted Nugent, KISS, OZZY, Thin Lizzy, Aerosmith, Led Zeppelin, ZZ Top. The band was having the time of their lives and the crowd was loving it. It was a great night.
The bar asked the guys to come back and do it again every Thursday.
All this without a single thought given to rehearsing or choosing a name.
The next day Jaymz and Dave were going over their calendars. Jaymz said "Well we're both off Monday, Tuesday you're Playing at Hooters and R Place, Wednesday we're at BW-3 and Thursday's
THE BIG ROCK SHOW with Jerry"
So there was the perfect name.

ROCK MUSIC IS BACK AND IT'S BIG!!!!
Jerry was committed to his band THE RUMORS (a local college rock act) So veteran rock drummer David Lloyd Williams, Jr. joined the band. David is an amazing rock drummer and entertainer.
So there you have it how THE BIG ROCK SHOW got together.
